Abstract Art
Angry Zeus
This is from an acrylic painting. The original is 18
X 24. I keep the layered abstract thing going on here
but really wanted to do a classical figure from my
imagination. I was also really angry at the time
(broke up with my girlfriend at the time). Iım very
proud of the effect I got building up the face with
abstract forms and contrasting colors. The guy looks
like heıs melding with the environment around him and
moving through space to me. It really captured my
mood and I still like to look at this one. On heavy,
museum quality, acid free, archival paper

Fuzzy In The Middle
This abstract is from a mixed media painting using
acrylic paint, pastels, crayons and markers, original
size 36 X 48. Just a study in what itıs like to
make a really strong abstract painting. I worked on
this thing for quite a long time, like a puzzle or a
math equation, seeing what the next step was each time
I added something new to it. Wanted to do a classic
Jazz abstract for my apartment. I think youıll find a
lot of figures hidden in it that were totally
unplanned. I always see something new in it. The
colors in the original washed out a little over time
so Iım enriching them on Photoshop to give you a
totally new version of the painting that I think ties
all of it together quite well. The name of the title
comes from my good friend John Andrews who, after
saying he ''liked it'' said, ''It gets fuzzy in the
middle''. On heavy, museum quality, acid free, archival
paper
Print Is: 14 X 18 (perhaps a little bigger when we
print it... don't buy your frame until it arrives at
your home!)

Not Such White Noise
An exercise in layered patterns. Kind of a theme Iıve
been following for a while. It started when I was
doing artwork for the character Richard on Caroline in
the City. I would do several dark abstract paintings
that all featured loose independent lines that seemed
tumultuous and brooding to match the character who I
was ''ghost painting'' for. In my own work I wanted to
have more fun with it. With this piece I wanted to
open it up, continue to layer moving patterns over
other moving patterns and lighten up the feel of the
work. Itıs an example of some of my favorite stuff to
do with my time. From an original acrylic and India
ink work on paper that measures 11 X 14. The print
is the same size on heavy, museum quality, acid free,
archival paper.

Picasso on Crack
This is a work on paper in mixed media. I did it in
acrylics and layered in India ink throughout it. Itıs
something I was experimenting with. Trying to do an
abstract composed of layered patterns of varying
colors to play with depth perception while also
hinting at including a figure in the composition.
Itıs kind of mesmerizing to look at, hypnotic and
constantly vibrating. On heavy, museum quality, acid
free, archival paper.
